5.7-magnitude quake hits Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan -- GFZ

HONG KONG, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted the Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan at 13:09:53 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 72.8 km, was initially determined to be at 35.48 degrees north latitude and 69.86 degrees east longitude.
