Authorities implement major development projects in Afghanistan

KABUL, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have completed 25 major development projects in central Afghanistan's Daikundi province, the official media Bakhtar news agency reported on Friday.

The projects were carried out at a total cost of 141.8 million afghanis (about 2.25 million U.S. dollars).

The initiatives covered the establishment of water supply systems, construction of small dams, reinforcement of riverbanks, improvement of rural roads, and other infrastructure efforts aimed at strengthening local communities, the report said.

In eastern Kapisa province, nine additional development projects have also been completed. These projects focus on expanding access to safe drinking water, supporting agricultural productivity and upgrading transportation routes in rural districts, the report added.
