Traffic collision kills 5, injures 1 in eastern Afghanistan

KABUL, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and one injured following a traffic collision in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province, the official media Bakhtar news agency said on Tuesday.

The accident took place along the Kabul-Kandahar highway in the Ab Band district of the province, where a cargo truck collided with a passenger vehicle, killing five on the spot and injuring one, the report said.

Preliminary findings indicated that reckless driving was the primary cause of the crash.
