5.2-magnitude quake hits Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan -- GFZ

BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan at 1824 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 205.7 km, was initially determined to be at 36.51 degrees north latitude and 70.21 degrees east longitude.
