Over 270 development projects implemented in Afghanistan's Kunduz province

KABUL, March 4 (Xinhua) -- More than 270 development projects have been implemented in northern Afghanistan's Kunduz province over the past year, the official media Bakhtar news reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, 84 of the projects were carried out by the Afghan government, with a total cost of 6 billion afghanis (about 93 million U.S. dollars). The remaining projects were implemented by national and international non-governmental organizations at a cost of 56 million dollars.

The projects covered a range of sectors, including road construction and paving, development of rural roads, agriculture, public health, and other public service areas.

Kunduz, located in northern Afghanistan, has witnessed a number of reconstruction and development efforts in recent years as authorities and aid agencies seek to boost livelihoods and stabilize local communities.
