3 killed, 4 injured as car plunges into canal in S. Afghanistan

KABUL, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Three passengers were killed and four others injured as a car plunged into a canal in southern Afghanistan's Helmand province on Monday, provincial police spokesman Ezatullah Haqqani said Tuesday.

The deadly mishap took place in Garmsir district due to reckless driving. A child was among the dead.

Four commuters, including a child, were injured in the accident, and police shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
