KABUL, April 3 (Xinhua) -- A total of 600 drug addicts have been receiving vocational training in a rehabilitation center in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province to become skilled workers in society, the local media Tolonews reported on Thursday.
In Daman district, the drug addicts have received medical treatment and been taught a variety of skills, local officials were quoted as saying.
Around 2,000 drug addicts receive training in the center annually to become skilled workers, the report said.
