300-bed hospital inaugurated in S. Afghanistan

KABUL, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have inaugurated a newly constructed 300-bed hospital in Uruzgan province, the official Bakhtar News Agency reported on Friday.

According to the report, the hospital was built with financial support from the Afghan interim government and aims to provide essential healthcare services to drug addicts in the province.

As part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare in post-war Afghanistan, the Ministry of Public Health has announced plans to establish general hospitals across the country.

The Afghan interim government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening the healthcare system by expanding medical facilities and improving access to healthcare services nationwide.
