KABUL, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Acting Minister for Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi has said that about 6,000 industrial plants are operational in Afghanistan.

"About 6,000 industrial factories are currently operational in Afghanistan," the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) quoted Azizi on Wednesday as saying.

Afghanistan plans to increase the country's annual exports by 3 billion U.S. dollars, the official said, according to the state-owned media outlet.
