Authorities launch development projects in W. Afghanistan

KABUL, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have launched a series of development projects in western Afghanistan's Herat province, the Bakhtar news agency reported Wednesday.

With a total investment of 2.7 million U.S. dollars, the projects aim to create jobs and improve public services, contributing to the overall well-being of local communities in the province.

Meanwhile, in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province, officials inaugurated a new school building valued at 13 million Afghanis (over 190,000 U.S. dollars). The modern facility is expected to offer students a better and more supportive learning environment and enhance access to quality education.

The Afghan government has prioritized infrastructure and rural development as part of its broader national agenda. A range of similar initiatives have been launched across the country to boost local economies, create employment, and advance Afghanistan's reconstruction and development efforts.
