Traffic accidents kill 1, injure 3 in Afghanistan's Ghazni Province

KABUL, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- At least one passenger was killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni Province on Sunday morning, according to local media reports.

The incidents occurred in three districts of the province, including Gelan and Andar, and were reportedly caused by reckless driving. Authorities confirmed that the injured victims were transported to a nearby health center for urgent medical treatment.

Fatal road accidents remain a recurring tragedy across Afghanistan due to poor road infrastructure, reckless driving behavior, overloading of vehicles, challenging mountain terrains, and unsafe overtaking practices.
