Drug-processing lab destroyed in S. Afghanistan

KABUL, May 1 (Xinhua) -- The counter-narcotics police have smashed a drug-processing lab in Sangin district of southern Afghanistan's Helmand province, said a statement of the provincial directorate for information and culture on Friday.

Police also seized a large quantity of illegal objects used in manufacturing heroin from the site, it said.
