Afghanistan begins construction of key ring road in Badghis Province

KABUL, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan government has launched the construction of a ring road in western Badghis province, local media outlet Tolonews reported on Saturday.

The major infrastructure project, estimated to cost 65 million U.S. dollars, is expected to significantly improve transportation in the region, the report said, adding that once completed, the road will connect Badghis to western Herat and link Herat with neighboring Farah province, enhancing trade and mobility across the west.

The Afghan government also aims to generate employment opportunities by implementing small and medium-scale development projects across various provinces, contributing to local economic growth and stability.
