Afghanistan signs 1.8-mln-USD deal to support returning refugees

KABUL, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Danish Committee for Aid to Afghan Refugees, the agency announced in a statement Thursday.

The agreement allocates more than 1.8 million U.S. dollars to support returning refugees, the statement added.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,978 Afghan refugee families, totaling 10,637 individuals, returned to Afghanistan from the neighboring Iran and Pakistan on Wednesday, Afghanistan's High Commission for Addressing Returnees Problems announced Thursday.
