KABUL, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Six people lost their lives as their car plunged into a water canal in southern Afghanistan's Helmand province on Sunday, provincial director for information and culture Abdul Bari Rashid said Monday.

The victims include four women, a child and their driver, the official said, adding the deadly accident took place in Garmsir district.

Another road accident claimed two lives and injured 11 others in the northern Baghlan province on Saturday.
