ISLAMABAD, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- A terrorist was killed when Pakistani security forces conducted an operation in the North Waziristan district of the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said in a statement on Saturday.
The militant from Afghanistan was involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military.
North Waziristan, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has been a focal point of counter-terrorism operations in recent years. Authorities remain vigilant against threats along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
