MAZAR-I-SHARIF -- A blast of hand grenade on Sunday night rocked north Afghanistan's Mazar-i-Sharif city, the capital of Balkh province, provincial police spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri said on Monday.
Local television channel Tolonews quoted Waziri as saying that the blast took place at around 8 p.m. in front of the municipal office. (Afghanistan-Grenade)

DHAKA -- More than 900 people have died of dengue fever, out of 187,725 cases reported across Bangladesh so far this year, health department figures showed Sunday.
According to data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Ministry of Health, the 909 deaths in total included 316 in September, 342 in August and 204 in July. (Bangladesh-Dengue Deaths)

YANGON -- Myanmar authorities have seized 254 kg of Methamphetamine (ICE) in eastern Shan state, according to the country's Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control.
Acting on a tip-off, the anti-narcotic police searched a dump truck in Tachileik township on Sept. 20 and confiscated the 254 kg of ICE and 2 kg of Ketamine with a total value of 2.049 billion kyats (about 975,714 U.S. dollars), the agency said late on Sunday. (Myanmar-Drugs)

LOS ANGELES -- NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft, the first U.S. mission to collect a sample from an asteroid, returned Bennu asteroid sample to Earth on Sunday.
