HONG KONG -- Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Carrie Lam and some senior officials of the HKSAR government on Monday received their first shots of the COVID-19 vaccine ahead of a mass rollout starting later this week.

Lam said she is confident in the vaccine and hopes the inoculation of government officials will let residents feel safe to get the vaccine. (HK-Vaccination)

ISLAMABAD -- Four women were shot dead by terrorists in Pakistan's northwestern tribal district of North Waziristan, police in the area said on Monday.

SUVA -- Using cash to pay for goods and services will become a thing of the past for residents in Fiji's fourth largest island Kadavu following the launch of the Vodafone M-PAiSA QR at the Advanced Store in the island's main administrative center of Vunisea.

KABUL -- At least 10 Taliban militants, including four foreign fighters, were killed when Afghan army conducted an operation in the Asian country's southern province of Kandahar during Sunday night, Afghan Defense Ministry said Monday.
