DAMASCUS -- A U.S. helicopter crashed in Syria's northeastern province of Hasakah on Tuesday, state news agency SANA reported.

The helicopter crashed in the Tal Hadad area in the northeastern countryside of Hasakah, the report said.

It added that U.S. forces cordoned off the area after the crash. (Syria-US-Helicopter)

JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- An intelligence agency officer was killed and three others were wounded after a roadside bomb targeted a vehicle in Jalalabad city, capital of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, a provincial government spokesman confirmed.

"A vehicle of National Directorate of Security (NDS) was passing by a road in Angor Bagh locality of the city in the morning when an improvised explosive device was detonated. Three NDS personnel aboard the vehicle were also wounded in the incident," spokesman Attahullah Khogiani told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Explosion)

ISLAMABAD -- An aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed during a routine training mission in the country's east Punjab province on Tuesday, the PAF said in a statement.

"The pilot ejected safely. No loss of life or property has been reported on ground. A board of inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the accident," the statement read. (Pakistan-Airplane-Crash)
