Nepal police involved in child torture
Afghanistan News.Net Wednesday 19th November, 2008
Police in Nepal have been accused of torturing children.
International pressure group Human Rights Watch said it had received credible claims of more than 200 cases of torture or abuse.
According to the group, the methods of torture included sticking sharp objects under children's toenails and beating the soles of their feet.
A Nepalese police spokesman says several officers have been punished for past abuses, but denies that any children are being tortured now.

Nepal police involved in child torture
the fact is that there is no guarantee that if some of you cought by police in nepal for any cases you wont be tortured.I think those police officers think that they have a lisence to turture people even without a valid reason. their job in the force means they are beyond the law and they have own all the rights. in the cases of childrens there were several cases been reported in many media and By NGOs and human rights bodies but we never heared that any officers been sacked due to unlawful tortures or any other actions taken by them. its a lawless country anyway.

As if Nepal is the only one. Take a look at the United States. Wake up folks. Bush sent a message to the world that torture is ok.

State of impunity needs to be immediate ended.
The current trends that has been found among the authority of Nepal, who needs to play deceisive and leading role to curb the crime against humanity, linking the issues of human rights with strategy of partisan politics,is a great threat to HR.The state of impunity seems getting encourage and protect from current state which certainly contributing to the issues as torturing the children by law-enforcement personnels. That is why the rule of law needs to be honoured and honestly adopted and criminals of abusing human rights might not be granted excuses and amnesty.
